I really like these work boots... comfortable and soft after a few days break well and no foot pains.
This boot pinches the top of your foot. I had to return it.
I’ve been a tradesman for over twenty years. I’ve tried a lot of different boots. The selection can be limited for a men’s size 15 Wide/16. I had tried Terra boots earlier and I wasn’t impressed. Due to availability, I decided to give the 8” Gantry boots a try last fall… my favourite so far! I decided to try the 6” this summer, as my job requires a lot of climbing/walking in a CSA boot. Again, my favourite boot with a “defined heel”. The Vibram soles are durable! My only complaint is that the heel pocket tends to loosen up before the boot’s end-off-life. This makes it a nuisance when pulling the boot off, as the liner wants to pull out with the foot. Other than that, these are a favourite so far!
4 star, would be five if they still made boots in Canada. Haven't had a pair of Terra like these since my old 6 inch combat boots(airborne or renegade) from the late 90s. Slipped them on and have been right back to work for 11 hours a day. No break-in time and fits nicely. I have a wide shoe 4e and this boot is comfortable with no toe pinch from the toe cap despite my small foot size. It's a bit warm in 30 degree weather , but should be great in the winter. Nice looking boot. Got compliments from co workers while they scuffed up the newness. Vibram sole is perfect. Found the grip to be too much on day one with it catching a bit, but fine on day 2 once I started picking up my feet a bit. Going to be good for those early morning hikes with the rubberized lower shedding morning dew. Tempted to buy a second just for hiking. Really like these boots. Now Terra needs to bring it's manufacturing back home to justify the prices they are asking these days. Amazing deal with them on clearance, just not at 260 a pop while being made in Asia for peanuts.
I found these to be very comfortable, great water resistance working in a shop and also frequently washing out equipment. They also look good, seem rugged enough and are quite slip resistant, and don’t squeak on the office floors like my previous cheap big box pair of boots. Over all very pleased with these and getting nearly $100 off the regular price made these boots a no brainer decision.
